The Philippines pavilion was located in the Sustainability District with a total Built-up Area of about 2,300m² and a height of 21m. The Philippines Pavilion was designed by Budji+Royal Architecture+Design to resemble “Bang-kó-ta” – the ancient Tagalog word for coral reef. The pavilion multi-level curved-shaped steel structure and lush vegetation were built on the idea of connectivity and permeability, enabling visitors to experience the island nation and its resilient, creative people.
