The Riyadh Metro is a rapid transit system meant to become the backbone of the city’s public transport system, integrated with an 85 km three-line bus rapid transit (BRT) network. It comprises 6 lines (with a total length of 176 km) and 85 stations and is expected to enter into operations in 2019. The network is equipped with state-of-the-art ITS.
